1. The Royal Palace (Kungliga Slottet) One of the largest palaces in Europe, the Royal Palace is the official residence of the Swedish monarch. It features over 600 rooms and several museums.
2. Gamla Stan (The Old Town) Gamla Stan, one of the largest and best preserved medieval city centers in Europe, is a must-visit. It's where Stockholm was founded in 1252 and boasts winding cobblestone streets, the Royal Palace, and Stockholm Cathedral.
3. Vasa Museum (Vasamuseet) Houses the only almost fully intact 17th century ship that has ever been salvaged. The Vasa sank on its maiden voyage in 1628 and was recovered 333 years later.
