How to Get from the Airport to Osaka City Centre

There are two main airports close to Osaka city centre:

A popular and cost-effective way to travel is by using the Nankai Railway. The Limited Express Rapit services will take you directly into Osaka city centre, specifically the Namba Station, in about 40 minutes. This option costs around 1,500 yen for a one-way ticket.

JR West (Japan Railways)

Alternatively, you can use the JR West which offers ordinary and limited express services to Osaka's main stations including Osaka Station and Shin-Osaka Station. This trip would take around 70 minutes and costs approximately 1,210 yen.

Taxis and Shuttle Buses

Another option would be a Taxi or a shuttle bus, these will cost significantly more than the train options. Ride duration may vary depending on traffic.

From Osaka International Airport (ITM)

Monorail and JR Line

The quickest way from Osaka International Airport to the city centre is to take the Osaka Monorail to Hotarugaike Station (5 minutes, 270 yen) and transfer to the Hankyu Takarazuka Line to reach Umeda Station (about 20 minutes, 210 yen). The total journey would be around 25 minutes and would cost 480 yen in total.
