Paris Airport to City Centre: Travel Guide
Paris, the dazzling city of lights has 3 major airports near the city centre: Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), Orly Airport (ORY), and Beauvais Tille Airport (BVA).
Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG)
- Train (RER B): The RER B train connects CDG to the city centre. It takes approximately 50 minutes and costs around €10. You can find the train in Terminal 3.
- Bus: The Roissybus provides a direct link from CDG to Opera Garnier central Paris. It takes anywhere from 60 to 75 minutes depending on traffic, and costs €12.
- Taxi: Taxi ranks are found outside the terminals. A taxi ride to the city centre costs a flat rate of €50 to €55 and takes around 45 - 60 minutes.
Orly Airport (ORY)
- Orlybus: Orlybus connects Orly to the city centre at Denfert-Rochereau in around 30 minutes. It costs €8.70.
- Tram: Tram Line 7 runs between Villejuif-Louis Aragon and Athis-Mons with a stop at Orly. The trip takes approximately 45 minutes and is the cheapest way at €1.90.
- Taxi: Taxis are available from outside the terminal and cost a flat rate of €30 to €35. The trip to city centre takes around 30 minutes.
Beauvais Tille Airport (BVA)
- Shuttle Bus: The official Beauvais airport shuttle bus is the main transportation option. It takes approximately 75 minutes to get downtown and tickets are €17. The buses are timed with flight arrivals.
- Train: There's no direct train from Beauvais airport to Paris. However, you can take a taxi or a bus to Beauvais station, then catch a train to Paris, which might take around 1.5-2 hrs in total depending on the connection.
- Taxi: A Taxi from BVA to Paris city centre can cost anywhere from €100 to €120, taking approximately 1 hour 15 minutes in normal traffic.
